We pitched the idea which we had to the other Media students in our lesson, and received some comments back from students with their views. We received some very helpful comments and suggestions
"Very good idea, Storyline needs to be developed"
"Good idea which fits well with the song"
"Repetitive lyrics, so make sure narrative isn't repetitive"
"Good idea which could work well for indie video"
There were not many negative comments, mainly just confusion over some of the points of the story line. Many people weren't sure whether it was a serious or a humorous story line. Even though we could make it quirky, we'd decided a serious music video would fit with the song we've chosen better.
Also some people suggested that the chase scene at the end may be different to film and make look realistic, which is something we were weary of anyway and are going to have to pay close attention too.
Repetition is something we'll be looking not to do to much as like our peers said it could make it a boring music video, which isn't what we're aiming for.
When speaking to our Media teacher we decided that it would be best to have an older character as our hit man to make it seem as realistic as possible. This is because if our hit man was young character it'd seem more a of a joke, and not serious. This is something we're going to take into consideration when we're deciding who we'd like to have as actors in our music video.
