Video Influence: OK Go - End Love
This is the music video for End Love by OK Go; I have uploaded this music video as we got some inspiration from the way that it was made. The video uses the stop motion technique throughout the video, this is when you stop the camera after a shot and then the actors in the shot move very slightly and then you film another shot and so on until you have lots of shot that when edit them together it flows almost as if it was film normally. The effect is not to make it look real, but to create something that you couldn’t create when filming normally. In our film we will use the stop motion technique for about 15 seconds of the film because to film the whole thing with stop motion would be very hard and time consuming, but we did want to incorporate it into our music video. The part of the video that will use the stop motion technique will be when our character is getting dressed, we chose to do it in this part of the film as obviously watching someone get dressed wouldn’t be very exciting and by using this it he will effectively get dressed quicker. Also we believe that it will look very good, as if he is getting dressed without doing anything as he won’t move but he will gradually get dressed. For example it will appear on the video as is his tie is tying itself.
