Video influence: The Futureheads - Hearbeat Song

This is the music video for Heartbeat Song by The Futureheads; I have uploaded this because it is an example of a previous music video from our chosen artist. This video will help us to hopefully recreate the style and image that The Futureheads have created for themselves. This video has influenced the way we have chosen to make our video, firstly one of the main and most important features of this video is that there is a strong performance element to the video, this is something that we will also include as it is not only a feature of The Futureheads but of most indie music videos. In the performance side of the video we will include lots of close ups of the instruments and shots of the band. This video also has a narrative that is clearly influenced by the lyrics and meaning behind the song, this is why we have chosen to include a narrative in our video that also clearly matches this song and the lyrics. As in the song that we have chosen the lyrics mention a double life, so we aim to create a narrative that shows this in some way. As you can’t see from this video that they look like a typical indie band, we will again recreate this by dressing in similar styles.
