Above is the design I have created and drawn for our CD artwork and digipack design. To complement and fit with the theme of our main character leading a 'Double Life', I have juxtaposed the two characters on the CD. The main front cover (top right) will feature the night time version of the character as the arrested robber, while the inside sleeve (bottom left) will feature the day time character of him sat frustrated at his desk at work.
To stick to the mug shot conventions, the character is stood in front of a height wall with the measurements over his right should (6' 3", 6" etc). He is also holding a board which normally would show the criminals name and prison number, but I decided to utilise this by putting the song name and artist name on the board. On the back cover (top left), I also decided to use the board, but this time, it would list the tracks that are found on the CD.
For the actual CD design (bottom right) I have written 'The Futureheads' logo across it in their regular font. However, we need to include the lyrics of the song within the digipack, as that is fitting with the conventions of the indie digipack. We may be able to fit the lyrics on the inside sleeve, if not, we may be able to fit it on or behind where the CD would go.
