- Awareness of conventions of layout and page design - We've shown awareness of the conventions of a website by having a navigation bar across the top of the page, this is the case for most websites. We've also got the band name across the top of the page, which is very common from all the band websites that I've looked at. Also we're going to include Twitter links and Facebook links, cause they're a convention of a modern day website
- Awareness of the need for variety in fonts and text size - We've shown a wide range of fonts and text size on our website. We have "The Futureheads" in large writing across the top of the page which really stands out, because it is bigger than the rest of the writing on the website. The writing on the navigation bar is smaller, but it is still capitalised so it stands out. We have smaller writing for the tour dates and the news, because they're further down the website and more in article form. **Capitalised font is the font which is used most often by The Futureheads.**
- Accurate use of language and register - The use of language and register I don't feel is massively important for the website, this is because the people who are going on the website already know what the band is all about. I expect the website's articles to be quite formal, and quite similar to a blog on the front page because that allows you to feel closer to the band and understand more about them.
- The appropriate use of ICT for the task set - The use of ICT that we'll be using to create the website will be iWeb. That will allow us to create a website homepage with working features, such as links and a navigation bar at the top of the page. Also Photoshop will be used as it will allow us to crop and edit photos that we've taken before putting them on to our website.
- Appropriate integration of illustration and text - We will have 2 or 3 pictures on our website and they'll all fit with the text and mean something to the audience. The images we are planning to have on our website are pictures from when we were shooting the video and possibly our album cover. In the news at the side of the picture there will be advertisements for the new album and alongside there it would be appropriate to have a picture of the CD cover, that's a way we will look too integrate the two.
- Framing a shot, using a variety of shot distances as appropriate - The shots which we will be taking for our website will be taken when we go out to film our music video. We will be taking a camera and all the photo's will be framed like they're being filmed properly, that will mean that the shots will be framed correctly with the right space above and to the side of the people in the shot, that will prevent anybody having their head cut off etc.
- Shooting material appropriate to the task set; selecting mise-en-scene including colour, figure, lighting, objects and setting - We will make sure that the bands photo's have suitable lighting and they're recognisable as an indie type of band. That will mean that the band members, have indie style and colour clothing on. The setting for our performance is a typical indie area, it will be a skittle anex which is indoors and is an area which you expect an indie band to be, it's not very upper class, it's more down to earth and it makes you feel that you can relate to the band.
- Manipulating photographs as appropriate, including cropping and resizing - We will use Photoshop to crop and resize photo's to make sure that they look and feel like they're meant to be on the website. We will also edit anything we have to on Photoshop to make it appropriate for our website.

We have looked at our website design and evaluated it against the mark scheme which we need to meet. The level we're aiming to get is Level 4 and these are the requirements that need to be met:
